I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which route will your Nordlingen team investigate?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Nordlingen leads you from the Marktplatz out to the old town gates at your own pace. You investigate on foot inside the walls using the free Loquiz app. Baldingen Gate and Löpsingen Gate are among the places you see along the route. The real surroundings frame the walk while the fictional case gives colleagues a shared task. Discuss what the information suggests before choosing your answer, hearing different explanations within the team. This keeps the detective work open to everyone’s ideas, making the activity something your small group shares as you explore and participate beside one another throughout the outing.

How can colleagues play in several teams?
Use one phone for each team of at most 4 players; all teams can start at the same time and compare their scores. Arrange the groups before beginning so colleagues know who they will investigate with. You might mix people who do not often work in the same small circle, giving them a case as a common topic straight away. Keep the screen accessible and invite suggestions before answering together. Comparing scores gives the wider group something to discuss afterwards, while shared decisions within each team keep the activity sociable. The phone holder can investigate alongside the others without having to provide all the thinking during play.
What does the organiser need to allow?
Plan for 1.5 to 2 hours and €19.95 per team, with larger groups asking for a group quote on the website. The game is available daily, you can start whenever you like and your booking is valid for 12 months. Prepare the free Loquiz app on each team’s phone and settle who plays together before starting. Choose a beginning that lets colleagues gather, then give the walk its own time in your plans. That leaves room for exploring and discussing possible answers without rushing through the case. Once everyone is ready, the mystery supplies a shared task, with team scores to compare after the outing’s game has finished.
Which app accompanies the route?
You play with the free Loquiz app on your own phone.
How many share a team?
At most 4 players use one phone per team.
Can teams start at the same time?
Yes. All teams can start at the same time and compare their scores.
What should a larger work group do?
Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. The game costs €19.95 per team.
