I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What is the ceremonial-sword puzzle quest?

Secrets of Schwerin asks your team to help Paul Friedrich reclaim a ceremonial sword. The game runs in the browser on your own phone without an app. Along the walk you see Schwerin Castle at Schlossbrücke, the Former Collegiate Building and the Colonnade Building. The fictional quest gives colleagues a shared goal while they explore the surroundings together. Invite teammates to swap the reading role and consider everyone’s ideas before choosing an answer. In a team of at most four, quieter observations have space alongside the quick suggestions. The story supplies a focus for the outing without requiring one colleague to create an extra activity for every place you pass.

Where does the murder case take place?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Schwerin takes your team from the Marktplatz and cathedral out to the castle on the lake. You investigate on foot through the free Loquiz app, with one phone for at most four players. Pick the case when colleagues would enjoy a detective story linking the different parts of their walk. Read the prompts together so everyone can follow the discussion and contribute a suggestion. Taking turns with the device helps keep the responsibility shared. Small teams give each colleague a voice without needing the full group to settle every answer, while walking leaves room for conversation between the decisions you make together.

How can you prepare the group outing?

Both Schwerin games take 1.5 to 2 hours and cost €19.95 per team. Start whenever you want, every day, within the booking’s 12-month validity. Arrange teams of at most four, each with its own phone. All teams can begin at the same time and compare their scores after playing. Choose the browser-based sword quest or prepare the free Loquiz app for the detective mystery before gathering. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. Leave enough room for the complete walk in your schedule so colleagues can enjoy working together rather than hurrying between the game and your other plans.
