I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where does the school museum fit into sightseeing?
Schoolmuseum Schooltijd is a museum at Nieuwstraat 2-4 in Terneuzen that you can see during the featured walking games. It adds a different kind of cultural landmark to an outing that also introduces churches, civic places and other city sights. Give it a pause before returning to the phone, so your companions have time to look around. The game is an activity on foot, connecting places through a story. If you want a separate museum visit, arrange that independently and allow additional time rather than assuming the walk and an interior visit are the same thing.

Which games pass the museum on their city walks?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Terneuzen and The Terneuzen Syndicate (outdoor escape game) both pass the museum. The detective story takes you from the town hall towards Scheldetheater and Scheldeboulevard. Choose it if investigating a case sounds like something your companions would enjoy discussing. The outdoor escape pursuit follows Magnus and stolen formulas from Arsenaalplein past Willibrordustoren. Its route also includes Grote Kerk Terneuzen. Choose that story for a pursuit played in the streets, giving your group a common objective between sightseeing stops. Both let you explore with your own companions at a self-guided pace.
Which option fits a team of four or five?
The detective game allows at most 4 players per team, while the outdoor escape game allows at most 5. Both cost €19.95 per team, last 1.5 to 2 hours and use the free Loquiz app on one phone. Choose the story that fits the number of people coming, then select the shared device before beginning. Everyone can contribute ideas regardless of who handles the screen. You can start whenever you want, every day, with validity for 12 months. Leave separate time for other Terneuzen visits so the game stays one flexible part of the day you arrange together.
