I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which writer’s quest can we play without an app?
Secrets of Liege asks you to help a writer recover the spark that brings Detective Jules Maigret to life. The walk passes Grand Curtius, the Van Gogh Mural and the Perron. It runs in the browser on your own phone, with no app needed, for at most four players per team.
Choose this story when your friends want clues to discuss while exploring together. One person handles the screen, but everyone can bring observations and ideas to the team's decisions. Follow the activity at your own pace and guide yourselves through the walk. For a larger celebration, arrange several small teams with their own devices so every group can take part within the player limit and share the challenge.

Where does the detective case lead our team?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Liege follows a case from the town hall to Place Saint-Lambert and Marché de la Batte. It uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone and allows at most four players per team. Your friends can discuss the mystery while guiding themselves through the walk at their own pace.
Pick this option when investigating together sounds like the focus your bachelor or bachelorette group wants. Decide which friends will share each phone and invite everyone to suggest ideas during the activity. Keep competition relaxed, using the case as a shared opening to the day. No guide leads the group or makes the next decisions, so your team works through the story and discusses how to proceed together.
What should we budget and when can we begin?
A game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Each team has at most four players using one phone. Count the teams your guest list needs before calculating the activity budget; larger parties require several bookings and devices within that limit.
You may start whenever you want on any day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Choose the writer's quest or detective case first, assign friends and check the phone setup. The quest runs in a browser, while the detective game uses an app. Agree a start together and leave enough room for the walk within the celebration's plans. These self-guided games let your group organise its own beginning and follow the chosen story together.
