I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where does the detective walk lead?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Nuremberg leads your team from the Hauptmarkt past St. Sebald to the Henkersteg. You investigate on foot at your own pace through the free Loquiz app. Choose this activity if your friends enjoy discussing a mystery as the thread connecting their walk. Read each prompt together so everyone can follow the case and offer an idea before the team decides. The story gives the route a shared purpose without one friend needing to explain a tour to the others. Between decisions, the walking time creates room for conversation. Your small group can explore and discuss together rather than simply follow the person holding the device throughout the outing.

How do you divide a larger party group?
The Nuremberg detective game allows at most four players to use one phone per team. Arrange a larger bachelor or bachelorette gathering into suitable teams and agree on who brings a device before meeting. Rotate the reading role so one person does not handle every prompt and determine every answer. Invite quieter friends to explain ideas alongside hearing the quick suggestions. The small-team format keeps the discussion manageable and lets each person contribute to the same case. Friendly rivalry can add energy to the beginning of the day while working together gives your team a common focus. Everyone can help decide the next move as the mystery unfolds during the walk.
What should the organiser prepare first?
The game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. You can start whenever you want, every day, within the booking’s 12-month validity. Prepare the free Loquiz app and arrange one phone for each team of at most four players. Settle the team division before friends gather so you can concentrate on the case when everyone is ready to walk. Give the full activity a clear place in your celebration schedule instead of squeezing it between other plans. That leaves room for friends to exchange suggestions and enjoy playing together. Afterwards, carry on with the rest of the stag or hen day you have organised.
