I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where will colleagues follow the Nuremberg case?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Nuremberg takes you from the Hauptmarkt past St. Sebald to the Henkersteg at your own pace. You investigate on foot using the free Loquiz app. The route gives colleagues surroundings to notice, while the fictional murder case offers a concrete shared problem. Hear what each teammate makes of the information before deciding a response together. A different explanation may bring another possibility into the discussion, leaving room for everyone’s contribution. This makes the walk an activity the small group actively shares through both exploring and thinking, rather than leaving every answer to the person holding the phone during the investigation.

How do you share the outing between small teams?

Each team uses its own phone and has at most 4 players; all teams can start at the same time and compare their scores. Decide who plays together before beginning, perhaps mixing colleagues who do not often work alongside one another. The case can provide an immediate common topic. Keep the screen visible and invite different suggestions before choosing your answer as a group. Comparing scores gives the wider team something to talk about afterwards, while shared decisions within each small group keep the activity sociable. The phone holder can investigate alongside the others, so following the mystery stays part of the whole team’s experience throughout the walk.

What practical details should you put in the plan?

Allow 1.5 to 2 hours at €19.95 per team; larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. You can play daily, start whenever you like and use the booking within 12 months. Prepare the free Loquiz app on the team phones and settle the groups before the investigation begins. Choose a start that lets colleagues gather, then give the walk enough time in your plans for exploring and discussing possible answers. Once everyone is ready, the case becomes a shared task for the outing. Compare scores afterwards and discuss the different ideas your teams considered while working through the mystery together during play.

What app should we prepare?

Prepare the free Loquiz app on the team phones.

How large can one team be?

At most 4 players share one phone per team.

Can all teams begin together?

Yes. All teams can start at the same time and compare their scores.

How do larger groups arrange the outing?

Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. The price is €19.95 per team.
