I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which exploration walk can friends choose?
Secrets of Trier follows a self-guided route from Kornmarkt past the market square, old palaces and Roman remains. The walk also passes Karl Marx House. It uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone and allows at most four players per team. Friends can share observations while exploring together.
Choose this option when a city walk with a shared activity sounds right for your group. One person handles the screen, but everyone can offer ideas and help make the next decision. Follow the game at your own pace and guide yourselves through the walk. Arrange several small teams with their own devices if more guests want to join, keeping the challenge shared within the player limit.

Where does the detective case take our team?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Trier follows a case from Kornmarkt to Porta Nigra. The route also passes Judengasse and Liebfrauenkirche. It uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone and allows at most four players per team, following the self-guided walk at your own pace.
Pick this story when investigating together sounds like the focus your bachelor or bachelorette group wants. Decide which friends will share each phone and invite everyone to suggest ideas during the activity. Keep rivalry between groups relaxed, giving the celebration a common detective focus. There is no guide leading your group or deciding the next move, so each team discusses and makes its own decisions as it follows the case through the city.
How do we plan the bookings and beginning?
A game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Each team contains at most four players using one phone. Calculate the team count from your guest list before booking; a larger party requires several bookings and devices within that player limit.
You may start whenever you want on any day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Choose the exploration walk or detective case first, assign friends and prepare the phones with the app. Agree a start together and allow enough time for the walk in your day's plans. These self-guided games let the group organise its own beginning and follow the chosen activity together without a guide setting the pace for your teams.
Can a hen group choose these games?
Yes. A hen or bachelorette group can play in small teams with friendly competition.
What app should our phones have?
Both games use the free Loquiz app on your own team phone.
How many people share one device?
Both choices allow at most four players per team using one phone.
How long does the booking remain valid?
The booking is valid for 12 months. You can start whenever you want, every day.
