I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where does the exploration walk begin?

Secrets of Marbella starts from Plaza de los Naranjos with puzzles, photo tasks and stories about the old town. At most four players share one phone, following the activity in the free Loquiz app. This self-guided exploration game gives friends varied tasks to tackle together during their walk. Let different people suggest ideas so the activity involves everyone in the team. Choose this option when exploring the city is part of how you want your group's celebration to begin.

What can friends investigate together?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Marbella takes a detective case from Plaza de los Naranjos up to Castillo de Marbella. You guide yourselves at your own pace, using the free Loquiz app on one team phone. The maximum team size is four players. It offers a shared story for a bachelor or bachelorette group that enjoys working through a mystery. If more friends are joining, divide them into several teams with their own phones and let everyone contribute to the discussion as they walk.

Which outdoor escape story accommodates five?

The Marbella Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Plaza de los Naranjos, Capilla de San Juan de Dios and Plaza de África. At most five people form a team, following the story on one phone using the free Loquiz app. You walk through the streets at your own pace without a guide leading the activity. Its player limit gives you another way to group your guests. Keep competition relaxed and encourage friends to share ideas throughout the outdoor chase.

What should we know before arranging teams?

A Marbella game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team. Plan four players per team for exploration or detective play, or five for the outdoor escape game, with one phone for each team. A larger celebration needs several bookings within those limits. You can start on any day whenever you want, and your booking is valid for 12 months. Choose your story first, then assign friends and prepare the phones. Agree a start and allow room for the walk in your day's plans.

Can we use this for a hen celebration?

Yes. The games suit bachelor or bachelorette groups in small teams with friendly competition.

Which game has photo tasks?

Secrets of Marbella includes puzzles and photo tasks on a self-guided walk from Plaza de los Naranjos.

What app should teams prepare?

All three games use the free Loquiz app on your own phone.

Does the price apply to each guest?

The price is €19.95 per team, using one phone within the chosen game's player limit.
