I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

These reviews were left by players on Google and other review sites and are copied from there as they are, with their source.

Where does the exploration walk begin?

Secrets of Marbella starts at Plaza de los Naranjos with puzzles, photo tasks and stories about the old town. At most four players share a phone using the free Loquiz app. Colleagues guide themselves through the activity and can discuss observations as they approach each task together. Choose it when varied exploration activities suit your outing. Everyone can help with decisions, keeping the walking challenge shared within the team rather than leaving all the next steps to the person handling the screen.

Which route gives colleagues a detective case?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Marbella follows a case from Plaza de los Naranjos to Castillo de Marbella. It uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone, with a maximum of four players per team. Colleagues can discuss the mystery while following the self-guided walk at their own pace. Pick this story when investigating together sounds like a common focus your group would enjoy. Arrange a phone for every team and invite everyone to offer ideas as the detective activity takes you through the city.

What outdoor escape option allows five players?

The Marbella Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Plaza de los Naranjos, Capilla de San Juan de Dios and Plaza de África. It allows at most five players sharing one phone with the free Loquiz app. Your colleagues guide themselves through the streets at their team's pace. The player limit gives your organiser another way to divide the group into small teams. Keep rivalry relaxed and let everyone contribute to decisions, making the outdoor chase shared around the phone.

How do we coordinate the booking and beginning?

A game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Count teams within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape option, and arrange one phone per team. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. Teams can start at the same time and compare scores. You may begin whenever you want on any day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Choose your game, assign colleagues and agree a shared start with enough time for the walk.
