I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which story can four friends explore together?

Secrets of Malmo follows painter Alexander Roslin's trail as you solve clues to recover his stolen masterpiece. The route passes High Court, the Frans Suell statue and Jörgen Kock's House. You play in the browser on your own phone, with no app needed, in teams of at most four.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Malmo takes a detective case from Stortorget past Sankt Petri kyrka to Kungsparken. It also allows four players sharing a phone, but uses the free Loquiz app. Pick the story your friends want to discuss while walking. Arrange several teams when more people are attending, and prepare a phone for every team before you gather to begin.

What outdoor escape game accommodates five players?

The Malmo Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Stortorget, Sankt Petri kyrka and Caroli kyrka. It allows at most five players per team using one phone with the free Loquiz app. You guide yourselves through the outdoor story and walk at your team's pace.

For a bachelor or bachelorette group, the larger team limit offers another way to arrange friends into small groups. Everyone can contribute ideas while one person handles the phone. Keep rivalry relaxed and let the chase give your celebration a shared activity to begin with. Each team needs its own device, so agree that practical detail before meeting to start the walk together.

How should we organise price and the beginning?

Each Malmo game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Work out how many teams your guest list needs within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game. Each team plays on one phone, so larger parties need several devices and bookings within those limits.

You can start whenever you want on any day, and the booking is valid for 12 months. Choose the story before assigning friends so your teams fit it. Check its phone setup, agree a start and allow enough room for the walk in your celebration plans. The games are self-guided, leaving your group to organise its own beginning and follow the activity together.

Which option works without an app?

Secrets of Malmo runs in the browser on your own phone, with no app needed.

Who features in the stolen-art story?

Secrets of Malmo follows Alexander Roslin's trail as you help recover his stolen masterpiece.

Can a bachelorette group take part?

Yes. These games suit bachelor or bachelorette groups playing in small teams with friendly competition.

Can five people share the detective game?

The detective game allows at most four players per team. The Malmo Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows five.
