I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

These reviews were left by players on Google and other review sites and are copied from there as they are, with their source.

What does the park contribute to your walk?

Kungsparken is a park at Slottsgatan 33 in Malmo that you can see during both featured walking games. It gives your outing a different setting from the squares and building fronts elsewhere along the routes. Take a pause to notice the surroundings before returning to the story on the phone. Comparing what your companions enjoy about the setting makes the sightseeing a shared conversation too. The game supplies the continuing activity, while your own group chooses the pace. Plan any additional park visit independently and leave separate time if you want to explore beyond the walking game.

Which Malmo stories pass Kungsparken?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Malmo and The Malmo Syndicate (outdoor escape game) both pass the park. The detective story leads from Stortorget past Sankt Petri kyrka towards Kungsparken. Its route also includes the Charles X Gustav sculpture. The outdoor escape story follows Magnus and stolen formulas, with Stortorget, Sankt Petri kyrka and Caroli kyrka along its route. Choose the detective case if your companions want an investigation to discuss, or the pursuit if an outdoor escape activity in the streets sounds more appealing. Both let you explore the city with a shared objective at your own pace.

Which game accommodates your team size?

The detective game allows at most 4 players per team, while the outdoor escape game allows at most 5. Both cost €19.95 per team, last 1.5 to 2 hours and use the free Loquiz app on one shared phone. Decide how many companions are coming before choosing the story and device. Let everyone join the discussion, even when one person handles the screen. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the game remains valid for 12 months. Add time separately for other Malmo activities so the self-guided game stays one flexible part of your outing.

Where is the park located?

Kungsparken is at Slottsgatan 33 in Malmo.

Do both featured games pass Kungsparken?

Yes. Both the detective game and the outdoor escape game pass the park.

Which story permits five players?

The Malmo Syndicate (outdoor escape game) permits at most 5 players per team.

What do we need on our phone?

Both featured games use the free Loquiz app on one phone shared by the team.
