I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What does the seaside game involve?

Secrets of Katwijk Aan Zee takes you through the seaside streets and along the water on a self-guided walk with puzzles and photo tasks. You use the free Loquiz app to play, sharing the activity with your small team. The surroundings give you a setting to enjoy while the game gives friends something to solve and do together. Hear different suggestions before deciding your response, and let the photo tasks be part of the shared activity too. This combination creates time outside with a common purpose, giving guests who have just met something to discuss and familiar friends a task to approach alongside one another.

How do you divide the stag or hen party?

Use one phone per team, with at most 4 players in each team. A larger bachelor or bachelorette group can arrange several teams so every guest follows the game in a small circle. Decide the combinations before starting, perhaps mixing people from different parts of the bride or groom’s life. Keep the screen visible and make room for everyone’s ideas before choosing what to do. Friendly competition can give your first activity direction while shared decisions keep it sociable. The person holding the phone can participate alongside the others, with the puzzles and photo tasks giving the team several ways to work together.

What should you reserve before you begin?

Reserve 1.5 to 2 hours and budget €19.95 per team. You can start whenever you like, with daily availability and a booking valid for 12 months. That leaves flexibility while gathering your friends and choosing how the stag or hen day should begin. Prepare the free Loquiz app on the phones your teams will use and agree on the groups in advance. Give the walk enough space in the plans for exploring, discussing puzzles and sharing the photo tasks. Once everyone is ready, the game can be a dedicated opening activity with something for the friends in each team to take part in together.

Do we use an app for this route?
