I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where can our detective team follow a mystery?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Leeuwarden takes a case from De Waag on Waagplein to Oldehove and the Fries Museum. It uses the free Loquiz app on one phone, with a maximum of four players per team. Your friends can discuss the detective story as they walk at their own pace. For a bachelor or bachelorette party, arrange several teams if more people are joining. Give each team a phone and invite everyone to share ideas throughout the self-guided investigation.

What outdoor escape story allows five players?

The Leeuwarden Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Lange Pijp, Doopsgezinde Kerk and Beursplein. Up to five players share a team phone using the free Loquiz app. You guide yourselves through the streets and take the outdoor story at your own pace. Consider that player limit when grouping your guests. Keep rivalry light, let everyone contribute to the decisions and use the chase as a common opening to your celebration. Every team needs its own phone to follow the game.

How do we plan the bookings and start?

Each Leeuwarden game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Count teams within the four-player limit for exploration or detective play, or five for the outdoor escape option, with one phone per team. Larger parties need several bookings. You can begin whenever you want, every day, and the booking is valid for 12 months. Choose your story first so the team arrangements fit it. Then prepare the phones, agree a start and leave enough time for the walk in your day's plans.

Can our hen group choose this activity?

Yes. Bachelor and bachelorette groups can play these games in small teams with friendly competition.
