I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How do the clues help Anna Luise?
Secrets of Bielefeld asks you to piece together clues and guide Anna Luise von Hoheneinfalt to where she belongs. Your city game Bielefeld passes Bielefeld Hauptbahnhof first and later Katholisch-Apostolische Kirche before reaching Klosterplatz. These places accompany the story as you walk and share thoughts about the task with your team.
You play this version in the browser on your own phone, with no app needed. Plan around 1.5 to 2 hours. The clues give everyone something to discuss while the search gives your route a common purpose. Choose this story if you want to explore through a shared task centred on helping Anna Luise, moving at your team's own pace.

What changes with the detective game?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Bielefeld turns your walk into a detective investigation using the free Loquiz app. Along this route you see Historisches Museum Bielefeld first, then Jahnplatz and afterwards Süsterkirche. These places belong to the murder case, which is a separate story from Anna Luise's search.
Allow around 1.5 to 2 hours for the investigation. You walk through the city with your own phone and can discuss the clues together as you go. Decide whether you want to take the detective role before opening the game. One person can share the information on the screen, leaving everyone free to add ideas and compare thoughts while the group follows the chosen story on foot.
How do you arrange your shared game?

You choose your starting time and should set aside around 1.5 to 2 hours.
