I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

Which story can the puzzle team follow?

Secrets of Bielefeld asks your team to piece together clues and guide Anna Luise von Hoheneinfalt to where she belongs. It runs in the browser on your own phone without an app. Along the route you see Bielefeld Hauptbahnhof, Katholisch-Apostolische Kirche and Klosterplatz. The fictional quest gives colleagues a common purpose while exploring together. Invite different observations and take turns reading prompts before choosing an answer. A team of at most four makes it easier for everyone to join in rather than leave the activity entirely with the person holding the phone. The story provides the challenge while teammates bring their own approaches to the discussion.

Where does the detective case unfold?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Bielefeld takes your team from Jahnplatz past Nicolaikirche to Alter Markt. You investigate on foot through the free Loquiz app, with one phone shared by at most four players. Choose the mystery if your colleagues would enjoy discussing a case as the focus of their walk. Read prompts together so everyone can follow the story and offer a suggestion before the team decides. The small group gives each person space to speak without requiring all colleagues to settle every answer at once. A detective thread connects the outing while walking leaves room for conversation between the decisions you make together.

How should you arrange the outing details?

Either Bielefeld game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Start whenever you want, every day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Divide colleagues into teams of at most four, each with a phone. They can all begin at the same time and compare scores after playing. Choose the browser-based quest or prepare the free Loquiz app for the detective mystery before gathering. Larger groups can request a group quote on the website. Leave enough time for the complete walk in your plans so teammates can enjoy solving together without rushing between this activity and other arrangements.
