I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which dark legends does Seville tell?
Seville's best known dark legend is the story of Don Juan Tenorio, the seducer who mocked the dead and paid for it. Spanish theatres traditionally stage the play Don Juan Tenorio around All Saints' Day, so the story fits this time of year.
The Hospital de la Caridad is linked to Miguel de Mañara, a nobleman often said to have inspired the Don Juan legend. Its church holds paintings by Valdés Leal of death and decaying bodies, made to remind visitors how short life is.
In the old town another tale is told: King Pedro I killed a man in a street fight at night, and an old woman recognised him by the creaking of his knees. A bust of the king still marks the street named after his head.

Which of our games suit a Halloween evening in Seville?
Secrets of Seville follows the trail of Don Juan Tenorio himself: you help him recover the sword that followed him through duels and midnight escapes. On the way you pass Santa Maria la Blanca, the Convento de Madre de Dios, San Ildefonso Church and Plaza de la Alfalfa. It runs in the browser on your own phone, no app.
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Seville is a detective case with a story based on Sherlock Holmes, taking you past the Torre del Oro, the cathedral, the Royal Alcázar and into the Barrio de Santa Cruz.
The Seville Syndicate (outdoor escape game) is an outdoor alternative to an escape room for 2 to 5 players. You start at the Plaza del Triunfo and pass the Hospital de la Caridad. Both of these games use the free Loquiz app.
Is there a Ghost Hunters game in Seville?
Not yet: our ghost game Ghost Hunters is coming to Seville. Leave your e-mail address on this page and we will let you know when it starts, so next year's halloween Seville evening can be spent hunting ghosts.
Until then, the games above make a fine autumn outing. In Spain, 1 November is All Saints' Day, when many families visit the graves of their loved ones, and bakeries sell sweets such as huesos de santo and buñuelos. Halloween itself is mostly a younger tradition here. A walk through the old streets as the light fades fits right between the two.
Is there a discount for halloween Seville?
Yes. Use the code HALLOWEEN50 for 50% off all our games, valid until 2 November.
What does a game cost?
Each game costs €19.95 per team: one phone, at most 4 players. The Seville Syndicate is for 2 to 5 players on one phone.
Can we play after dark?
Yes, you start whenever you like. The route goes through lit streets and squares, and a game takes 1.5–2 hours.
Is a halloween Seville game good for children?
Yes. The games use legends and history rather than horror, so families with children can play them together.
