I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which detective walk passes the church?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Bern passes Französische Kirche during a fictional investigation through the city. Its described route also runs from Bundeshaus past Zytglogge to Münsterplatz. Those places frame the walk while the story gives your companions something to consider together. Your group investigates on foot at its own pace and allows 1.5 to 2 hours for the activity. Choose it for a detective focus connected to the church. Any independent church visit can be planned separately around playing. Share each task and hear different explanations before deciding how to continue, so everyone can contribute as the case progresses between the places on its route.

How is the case shared on your own phone?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Bern uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone and is self-guided. One device carries the instructions for your team, but the reasoning can involve everyone. Read what the screen asks so the person holding it is not the only one who knows the next task. Friends can compare theories, a couple can solve side by side, and colleagues can share a common activity outside. The investigation belongs to the game’s fiction, while its route points are real places you encounter. Keep independent sightseeing separate so the full playing time remains available for the walk and case you follow together.
What does one team pay and when can it start?
The Bern game costs €19.95 per team for at most 4 players sharing one phone. You can start whenever you want, every day, within 12 months of validity. Choose a suitable day with your companions and leave room for the whole activity alongside any independent church plans. Prepare Loquiz on the device your team will use and agree to share the tasks throughout play. That keeps the outing a group experience rather than one person’s activity on the screen. You follow the self-guided investigation without meeting a guide at a fixed departure, discussing possible answers and making the decisions together as the story moves through Bern.
