I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where will your Klagenfurt detective team explore?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Klagenfurt takes you from the Lindwurmbrunnen across Alter Platz to the cathedral. You investigate on foot using the free Loquiz app, with the route providing a setting for your team’s fictional case. The walk gives colleagues surroundings to notice, while the mystery offers a shared problem to work through. Hear what each person makes of the information before agreeing on an answer. Another explanation can bring a different possibility into view, making the discussion open to everyone’s ideas. This keeps the activity something the small group actively shares as you explore and participate alongside colleagues during the outing.

How can the work group play in small teams?

Use one phone for each team of at most 4 players; all teams can start at the same time and compare their scores. Arrange the groups before beginning, perhaps mixing colleagues who do not often work alongside one another. The investigation provides their first common subject. Keep the screen visible and invite different suggestions before choosing a response together. Comparing scores gives the wider group a point of discussion after the game, while the small teams leave room to listen during play. The phone holder can investigate alongside the others, so working out the case remains a task shared by the whole team.

What practical details should the organiser plan?

Plan for 1.5 to 2 hours and €19.95 per team; larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. The game is available daily, you can start whenever you like and your booking is valid for 12 months. Prepare the free Loquiz app on the team phones and settle the group divisions before the investigation begins. Choose a starting moment that lets colleagues gather, then give the walk a dedicated space in the outing. That leaves time for exploring and discussing possible answers without rushing the case. Once everyone is ready, the mystery supplies a common activity, with team scores to compare after you finish playing.

How large can a team be?

At most 4 players use one phone per team.

Which app accompanies the mystery?

You play with the free Loquiz app on your own phone.

Can we start all teams at once?

Yes. All teams can start at the same time and compare their scores.

What should a larger group do?

Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. The price is €19.95 per team.
