I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where can four-player teams explore or investigate?

Secrets of Toulon starts on Place de la Cathédrale and leads through the old town with puzzles. You also see Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-la-Seds and Le Globe along the route. Colleagues guide themselves on a shared phone and bring observations to the exploration tasks as they walk together.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Toulon follows a detective case past Stade Mayol, Cathédrale de Notre-Dame-de-la-Seds and Opéra de Toulon. Choose it when your colleagues want a mystery to discuss during the outing. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Prepare a phone for each team and invite everyone to suggest ideas while one person handles the screen.

Which outdoor escape story accommodates five?

The Toulon Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Cathédrale Sainte-Marie-de-la-Seds, Place Camille Ledeau and Église Saint-Louis. It uses the free Loquiz app on one phone and allows at most five players per team. Colleagues guide themselves through the streets and take the outdoor story at their team's pace.

That limit gives your organiser another way to divide the group into small teams. Everyone can help make decisions around the phone, keeping the chase shared across the group. Choose this option when its story fits the outing. Keep competition friendly and allow different approaches as each team follows the self-guided activity on its own device.

How do we coordinate the booking and beginning?

Each game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team. Count teams within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game. Every team uses its own phone. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.

Teams can begin at the same time and compare scores. Choose your story first, assign colleagues within its limit and prepare the phones. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the booking is valid for 12 months. Agree a shared beginning and allow time for the walk while each small team follows the self-guided activity itself.

Can our teams begin at once?

Yes. Teams can start at the same time and compare scores, each using its own phone.
