I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which games suit four colleagues sharing a phone?

Secrets of Hanover starts at Holzmarkt with puzzles and photo tasks in the old town. Colleagues guide themselves through the exploration activity and discuss how to approach each task as they walk. It offers varied things to solve together, with everyone able to contribute observations around the team's phone.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Hanover follows a case from Marktkirche to the Opernhaus. Choose it when colleagues want a detective story to discuss during the outing. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Arrange one phone for each team, and encourage everyone to suggest ideas rather than leaving the decisions only to the person handling the screen.

What outdoor escape option accommodates five players?

The Hanover Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas from Karmarschstraße past Marktkirche. The route also takes you past Altes Rathaus Hannover. It allows at most five players sharing a phone with the free Loquiz app. Colleagues guide themselves through the story outdoors and walk at their team's pace.

That player limit gives your organiser another way to divide the group into small teams. Everyone can contribute ideas while one person handles the phone, making the chase a shared activity. Choose it when an outdoor escape story sounds right for your colleagues. Keep competition friendly and prepare a device for every team before gathering to begin the chosen walking challenge together.

How do we arrange a shared start and group cost?

Each Hanover game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Count teams within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game. Every team uses its own phone. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.

All teams can start at the same time and compare scores. Choose your story before assigning colleagues so the teams fit its limit, then prepare their phones. You can begin whenever you want, every day, and the booking is valid for 12 months. Agree a shared start and leave room for the walk in your outing's plans, while teams follow the self-guided activity on their own devices.
