I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where does your Munich investigation begin?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Munich starts on Marienplatz and runs past the Frauenkirche on a self-guided walk through the centre. Max-Joseph-Platz is also among the places you see on the route. You follow the case using the free Loquiz app, keeping the investigation with your team as you explore on foot. The surroundings give you a setting away from your usual work conversation, while the mystery provides something to consider together. Listen to each teammate’s explanation before choosing your response. The discussion can include more than the first suggestion, making room for different colleagues to contribute as you work through the case alongside one another.

What team setup keeps the discussion shared?

Each team has at most 4 players and uses one phone; all teams can start at the same time and compare their scores. Choose your groups before the outing, perhaps mixing colleagues who do not usually share a small task. The case offers something concrete to discuss immediately. Keep the screen within view of teammates and make answers group decisions. The colleague holding the phone can listen as well as suggest an explanation, so following the investigation stays a shared activity. Comparing scores then gives the wider group a point of discussion after play, while the small teams give everyone room to participate during the walk.

What should you plan before setting off?

Allow 1.5 to 2 hours at €19.95 per team; larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. You can start whenever you like, with daily availability and a booking valid for 12 months. Prepare the free Loquiz app on the phones your teams will use and settle the group arrangements in advance. Give the walk enough space in the outing plan to explore and discuss possible answers without rushing. Once colleagues are ready, the investigation supplies a common task to begin together. Afterwards, compare scores and return to the different ideas your teams considered while working through the mystery during play.

What app should colleagues prepare?

Prepare the free Loquiz app on the team phones.

How many players share a phone?

Can teams play from the same starting time?

Yes. All teams can start at the same time and compare their scores.

How do larger work groups arrange the game?
