I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where does the Geneva detective route take you?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Geneva leads you from the old town and Saint-Pierre cathedral down to the lakeside. You investigate on foot using the free Loquiz app, with Promenade du Pin also among the places you see along the walking route. The surroundings give your outing a setting while the fictional case provides a shared problem for colleagues. Hear different interpretations of the information before deciding an answer together. Each teammate can add an idea, keeping the investigation part of a group discussion. This makes the activity something your small team actively shares as you explore and participate alongside one another during the walk.

How can several work teams share the activity?

Each team uses its own phone and has at most 4 players; all teams can start at the same time and compare their scores. Arrange the groups beforehand, perhaps mixing colleagues who rarely work alongside one another. The investigation offers their first common topic immediately. Keep the screen visible and invite different suggestions before choosing your response together. Comparing scores gives the wider group something to discuss after the game, while shared decisions within each team leave room for everyone’s ideas during play. The phone holder can investigate alongside the others, so solving the case remains a task shared by the whole small group throughout the outing.

What should you allow before beginning the game?

Plan for 1.5 to 2 hours and €19.95 per team; larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. You can play daily, start whenever you like and use your booking within 12 months. Prepare the free Loquiz app on the team phones and settle who plays together before starting. Choose a start that lets colleagues gather, then give the walk enough time in your outing plans for exploring and discussing answers. Once everyone is ready, the mystery supplies a shared task that small groups can follow together. Compare scores afterwards and return to the different ideas your colleagues considered while investigating the case.

What app should colleagues prepare?

Prepare the free Loquiz app on the team phones.

What is the team size limit?

At most 4 players use one phone per team.

Can teams begin at the same time?

Yes. All teams can start at the same time and compare their scores.

How can a larger work group take part?

Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. The price is €19.95 per team.
