I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

These reviews were left by players on Google and other review sites and are copied from there as they are, with their source.

How does the bridge connect with other sights?

Secrets of Dordrecht starts on Stadhuisplein and takes you past the bridge, Grote Kerk, the city hall and the riverside near Vismarkt. These stops connect the walk with different views of the city while the puzzles provide something for your group to work on. The bridge is one place to notice in that sequence.

Allow a moment to look around when you reach it, while keeping the way clear for others. You can discuss what catches your attention before returning to the game. This gives the physical route some space in the outing, alongside the decisions your group makes on the shared phone.

Who might enjoy this kind of city walk?

Secrets of Dordrecht suits companions who want to explore together with puzzles as a common activity. You have places to walk between and something to discuss along the way. Different people can offer different approaches, making the outing more than following the person holding the device.

Up to four players share one phone with the free Loquiz app. Give everyone a chance to hear the instructions before settling on an answer. One person can begin reading, then others can take over as the walk develops. That simple arrangement helps all players remain part of the activity, including those who are not looking directly at the screen.

What are the time and cost arrangements?

The game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team. You can start whenever you like, every day, and your purchase stays valid for twelve months. Choose a day with your companions and have the free Loquiz app ready on the phone you will share.

If you want to add separate visits or spend extra time at individual stops, account for that alongside the game duration. Agreeing what the outing includes helps everyone arrive with the same expectations. You can then enjoy both parts of the walk: exploring the city places, including the bridge, and working through the puzzles as a team.

Does the puzzle route include the bridge?

Yes, it is one of the listed stops.

Where does this game begin?

The exploration game begins on Stadhuisplein.

How many people can share a game?

A team has up to four players on one phone.

Do we need a timed departure?

No, you can choose your own daily start within twelve months of purchase.
