I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which choices suit explorers or amateur detectives?

Secrets of Bremen starts on the Markt and leads down Böttcherstraße with puzzles and photo tasks. You guide yourselves through the activity, using your own phone to follow the game. This option puts exploration and shared observations at the centre of the team's walk.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Bremen offers a detective case instead. Its route passes the Bremer Stadtmusikanten, Helmut von Moltke and Böttcherstraße. Both games allow a maximum of four players per team and use the free Loquiz app. Pick the activity your friends want to discuss together, and arrange a separate phone for every team if your celebration includes more people.

How does the outdoor escape story use the city?

The Bremen Syndicate (outdoor escape game) takes you after Magnus and the stolen formulas past Bremer Marktplatz, St.-Martini-Kirche and Schlachte. Up to five players can share a team phone, following the activity in the free Loquiz app. The story unfolds during a self-guided walk through the streets at your own pace.

That five-person limit may suit the way you want to divide a bachelor or bachelorette group. Each small team can make its own decisions as it follows the game. Let friends take turns contributing ideas so the phone holder is not the only one involved. The aim for your party can be a shared challenge with friendly rivalry while you explore together.

What arrangements make the outing straightforward?

Each Bremen game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team. Work out your team count using a limit of four players for exploration or detective play, and five for the outdoor escape option. The booking price applies to one team using one phone, so a larger party needs several teams.

You can start whenever you want, every day, and your booking remains valid for 12 months. Choose the game before arranging the teams and tell friends which phone setup to prepare. A self-guided start gives you flexibility when planning the celebration. Allow room for the walk in the day's schedule and agree when everyone should be ready to begin.

Does the exploration game have a starting place?

Yes. Secrets of Bremen starts on the Markt and leads down Böttcherstraße.

How many people can join one team?

The exploration and detective games allow at most four players per team. The Bremen Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows five.

Can a bachelorette party choose these games?

Yes. They suit a stag or hen group that wants a walking challenge in small teams.

Are these guided departures?

No. You play on your own phone and choose when to begin, every day.
