I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which exploration route can our friends follow?
Secrets of Gelsenkirchen takes a self-guided walk past Propsteikirche St. Augustinus, Wissenschaftspark and Altstadtkirche. It uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone and allows at most four players per team. Your friends can share observations while exploring together and following the game at their own pace.
Choose this option when seeing the city through a shared activity sounds right for your group. One person handles the screen, but everyone can offer an idea and help make the next decision. Arrange several small teams if more guests want to join, with a device for each group. Keep the competition relaxed and make the walk a common opening to your celebration, while each team follows the game and guides itself.

Where does the detective case take our team?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Gelsenkirchen follows a case from Ahstraße past Heinrich-König-Platz to Hans-Sachs-Haus. It uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone and allows at most four players per team. Your friends can discuss the mystery while following the self-guided walk at their own pace.
Pick this story when investigating together sounds like the focus your bachelor or bachelorette group wants. Decide which friends will share each team phone and encourage everyone to suggest ideas during the activity. Keep rivalry between groups friendly as the detective story gives the celebration a shared beginning. No guide leads the group or makes its next decisions, so your team works through the case and discusses what to do together along the walk.
How do we organise the team count and start?
Each Gelsenkirchen game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. At most four players share one team phone. Count the teams your guest list needs before booking, since a larger party requires several bookings and devices within that player limit.
You can begin whenever you want, every day, and the booking is valid for 12 months. Choose the exploration activity or detective story first, assign friends and prepare the phones with the app. Agree a start together and leave enough room for the walk within your celebration plans. These self-guided games let the group organise its own beginning and follow the chosen activity together, making the shared walking challenge a clear opening to the day's plans.
