I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where can our exploration or detective team walk?
Secrets of Breda takes an exploration route from Grote Markt past the castle, Begijnhof and Spanjaardsgat. Puzzles along the way give your friends tasks to discuss while seeing the city together. You guide yourselves, with one phone shared by each team as you follow the activity at your own pace.
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Breda offers a detective case from Grote Kerk and Grote Markt to Kasteel van Breda. Choose this story when your group prefers investigating a mystery together. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Decide on your preferred style before arranging which friends will share each phone.

Which story offers an outdoor chase for five?
The Breda Syndicate (outdoor escape game) sends you after Magnus and the stolen formulas from Grote Kerk on Kerkplein to the water at De Haven. The walk also passes Spanjaardsgat. It allows at most five players per team using one phone with the free Loquiz app, following the outdoor story at your own pace.
For a bachelor or bachelorette celebration, consider that larger player limit when grouping friends. Everyone can suggest ideas and help decide what to do while one person handles the screen. The self-guided activity gives your party a common focus at the start of the day. Keep the competition friendly as the teams follow the chase through the streets.
How should we fit the game into our plans?
Each Breda game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team. Count the teams your party needs within the four-player limit for exploration or detective play, or five for the outdoor escape game. Every team plays on one phone, so a larger guest list needs several devices and bookings.
You can begin whenever you want, every day, and the booking stays valid for 12 months. Choose a story before assigning friends so the team arrangements fit it. Prepare the phones, agree a start and leave enough time for the walk in your celebration's plans. No guide sets the departure, leaving your group to organise the beginning of the shared activity.
Can our bachelorette group take part?
Yes. Bachelor and bachelorette groups can play these games in small teams with friendly competition.
Which game allows five players?
The Breda Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows at most five players per team on one phone.
Is an app needed for exploration?
Secrets of Breda uses the free Loquiz app, as do the other two games.
Does the price apply per guest?
The price is €19.95 per team within its stated player limit, using one phone.
