I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which walks suit teams of up to four?
Secrets of Breda takes an exploration route from Grote Markt past the castle, Begijnhof and Spanjaardsgat, with puzzles along the way. Colleagues guide themselves on a shared phone and offer observations as they approach the activity together. It suits a group that wants varied things to solve while exploring the city.
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Breda follows a case from Grote Kerk and Grote Markt to Kasteel van Breda. Pick this option when your colleagues prefer a detective story to discuss during their walk. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Arrange a phone for every team and encourage everyone to help with decisions throughout the activity.

What outdoor escape game accommodates five colleagues?
The Breda Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas from Grote Kerk on Kerkplein to the water at De Haven. You also pass Spanjaardsgat. It allows at most five players sharing one phone with the free Loquiz app. Colleagues guide themselves through the outdoor story at their team's pace.
The player limit gives your organiser another way to arrange colleagues into small groups. Everyone can offer ideas while one person handles the screen, keeping the chase a shared activity around the phone. Choose it when that story sounds right for your outing. Keep rivalry relaxed and prepare each team's device before gathering so colleagues are ready to follow the walking challenge together.
How do we organise a larger department outing?
A game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Calculate team numbers within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game. Each team needs its own phone. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.
All teams can start at the same time and compare scores. Choose your story before assigning colleagues so the groups fit its size, then prepare their phones. You may begin on any day whenever you want, with a booking valid for 12 months. Agree a shared start and leave room for the walk while teams follow the self-guided activity on their own devices.
Can teams compare their results?
Yes. Teams can start at the same time and compare scores, each playing on its own phone.
Which choice allows five players?
The Breda Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows at most five players per team. The other options allow four.
Do we need an app for exploration?
Secrets of Breda uses the free Loquiz app, as do the other two games.
How can we request a larger group price?
Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.
