I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What does the Scheveningen activity involve?
Secrets of Scheveningen combines a self-guided walking route with puzzles and photo tasks, taking you past the Circustheater and the boulevard. You play using the free Loquiz app on your own phone. Palacestraat and De Pier are also among the places you see on the route. The surroundings accompany your time outside while the tasks give friends something to work on together. Hear what different teammates suggest before deciding your response, and share the photo tasks as part of the activity. This keeps the game a group experience, with a reason for each friend to join the conversation while you explore together.

How do small teams suit a larger party?
Use one phone per team and include at most 4 players in each team. A larger bachelor or bachelorette group can form several teams so everyone follows the game within a small circle. Decide the combinations before you start, perhaps mixing people who know the bride or groom from different places. The tasks give new teammates an immediate common subject. Keep the screen accessible and make decisions through discussion. Friendly competition can get the day moving while shared answers keep the activity open to everyone’s ideas. The person holding the phone can work alongside the others instead of having to direct all the thinking.
What should the organiser allow for the game?
Plan for 1.5 to 2 hours and €19.95 per team. You can start whenever you like, with daily availability and a booking valid for 12 months. These details give you flexibility when choosing how to begin the stag or hen day around your friends’ gathering arrangements. Prepare the free Loquiz app on the phones being used and settle who plays together in advance. Give the walk its own time in the plans for exploring, puzzles and photo tasks. Once everyone is ready, the game can be a shared opening activity, with space to discuss ideas and enjoy doing something together before the day moves on.
What app accompanies the route?
