I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which investigation passes Arenberg Castle?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Leuven is identified as passing Arenberg Castle during its fictional detective experience. The described route also takes you from the historic town hall to Oude Markt and Ladeuzeplein. Follow the case on foot at your own pace and allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the game. It uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone. The castle is connected to this walking activity, so arrange any independent castle visit separately from playing. Choose the game for a shared investigation and keep the case part of the group’s conversation as you progress, giving everyone time to contribute an idea.

What activity is available around Grote Markt?
Secrets of Leuven is a self-guided walking tour with puzzles and photo tasks through the streets and squares around Grote Markt. You follow the activity through the free Loquiz app on your own phone, with a playing time of 1.5 to 2 hours. Choose this option if your companions would prefer practical tasks to a fictional murder case. It gives the group something to solve together during its walk, with its own route to follow. Keep this city activity separate from your castle sightseeing plans rather than assuming it takes the same path as the detective game. Decide on the experience your companions want before beginning.
How do you organise the outing with companions?
A Leuven game costs €19.95 per team for at most 4 players sharing one phone. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the game remains valid for 12 months. Both listed options use Loquiz, so choose the activity you prefer and prepare the phone for it. Leave room for the full playing time alongside any independent sightseeing. Friends, couples, families or colleagues can use the team format for time outdoors with a shared task.
