I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

These reviews were left by players on Google and other review sites and are copied from there as they are, with their source.

How does the square connect with the walking route?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Tournai leads from the conservatory to Grand-Place and Pont des Trous. These real settings provide places for your team to notice while the fictional case offers a common problem. The square becomes part of a walk where exploring and solving both have a place.

Give the surroundings a moment of attention before returning to the next question on your phone. You can appreciate a real place without turning it only into a backdrop for the game. If you want additional time for independent sightseeing, plan it alongside the activity so your group has room for the investigation rather than fitting all your plans inside its duration.

What will your companions do during the case?

You solve riddles and photo tasks in the free Loquiz app using one phone during the Tournai game. At most 4 players share a team, following the activity without an accompanying guide. Read the instruction aloud and compare ideas before choosing how to answer together.

A couple can think through a challenge side by side, while friends or colleagues can suggest several approaches. Give those suggestions space even if one player carries the device throughout. The phone can hold the activity without its holder making every decision, keeping the fictional case shared while the real settings along the walking route offer something else to notice between questions.

What are the time and team-price details?

The detective activity costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, with one phone for at most 4 players. Choose your device and companions beforehand, and reserve time for walking as well as solving. Additional visits can have separate space around the game in your day.

You can start whenever you want, every day, and the game is valid for 12 months. Pick when the outing works for your group and your visit to Tournai. Open the app ready to share the challenges, giving the investigation time of its own while the route provides real places to see together as you continue exploring on foot.
