I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What route frames the Tournai murder mystery?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Tournai takes you from the conservatory to the Grand-Place and the Pont des Trous at your own pace. You investigate on foot using the free Loquiz app. The real surroundings give your walk a setting while the fictional case provides a concrete task for colleagues. Compare what different teammates make of the information before choosing your answer. Another suggestion can add a possibility to consider, keeping the discussion open to everyone’s contribution. This makes the first part of the outing an activity your small group actively shares through both exploring and detective thinking, rather than simply following one person’s decisions during play.

How do you organise colleagues into small groups?

Use one phone for each team of at most 4 players; all teams can start at the same time and compare their scores. Arrange the groups before beginning, perhaps mixing colleagues who do not usually work alongside one another. The case can provide their first common subject immediately. Keep the screen accessible and hear more than one explanation before agreeing on a response. Comparing scores creates a shared point of discussion for the wider group afterwards, while the small team setup gives everyone room during play. The phone holder can investigate alongside the others, making the case part of the whole team’s experience throughout the walk.

What should the organiser put in the plans?

Allow 1.5 to 2 hours at €19.95 per team, with larger groups asking for a group quote on the website. The game is available daily, you can start whenever you like and your booking is valid for 12 months. Prepare the free Loquiz app on each team’s phone and settle who plays together before the case begins. Choose a start that lets colleagues gather, then give the walk its own time in the outing. That leaves space to explore and discuss possible answers without rushing. Once everyone is ready, the mystery supplies a shared task, with team scores to compare after you finish playing together.

Which app should colleagues use?

Use the free Loquiz app on your own phone.

What is the team size limit?

At most 4 players share one phone per team.

Can teams begin at the same time?

Yes. All teams can start at the same time and compare their scores.

How do larger groups arrange the outing?

Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. The price is €19.95 per team.
