I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What does the puzzle route show you?

Secrets of Zierikzee combines a self-guided walk with puzzles and photo tasks past the Dikke Toren, Gravensteen and old harbour. Your city game Zierikzee passes Sint-Lievensmonstertoren, also called Dikke Toren, first, then Plein Montmartre and afterwards Cameramuseum Zierikzee. These places accompany the game route while your team follows the tasks together.

You use the free Loquiz app and allow around 1.5 to 2 hours. Choose this exploration if you want different kinds of activities during the outing. You can discuss the instructions as a group while one player shares the information from your own phone. Looking around and comparing ideas can both be part of the walk at your team's pace.

Which route belongs to the detective case?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Zierikzee gives your team an investigation using the free Loquiz app. You see Sint-Lievensmonstertoren first, then Cameramuseum Zierikzee and afterwards Noordhavenpoort. The detective route shares some places with the exploration but gives your walk its own murder-mystery story to follow.

Plan around 1.5 to 2 hours and use your own phone. Before beginning, agree whether investigating a case is the activity you want to share. The clues provide information for everyone to discuss, so one person can read them aloud while the rest offer ideas. That keeps the investigation a common task during your self-guided walk through the city, with all players involved as you go.

What does your Zierikzee group need to arrange?

Your city game Zierikzee costs €19.95 per team with one phone and at most four players. Both games allow this team size. Decide who is joining you and choose between puzzles with photo tasks and the detective case. Both options use the same free Loquiz app on your own phone.
