I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where does the church appear in the mission?
The Hamburg Syndicate (outdoor escape game) starts at Gerhart-Hauptmann-Platz and passes the church, Trostbrücke and Adolphsplatz. These places give your pursuit different settings as you explore on foot. The mission connects the route beyond a single destination your group has chosen to see.
At the church, allow the real place attention separately from the fictional story. Be considerate of people visiting or using it, and look at the building before reading onward. No church admission or interior visit is specified for the game. If you want an additional visit, plan it independently alongside the activity so everyone understands what the shared outing includes.

How can five people share the outdoor escape activity?
The Hamburg Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows up to five players on one phone with the free Loquiz app. You follow Magnus and the stolen formulas through the city streets, playing self-guided as a team. Choose it when a continuing pursuit gives your companions a common reason to walk and discuss ideas.
Let everyone hear each task before agreeing on an answer. A companion without the phone can still offer another approach worth explaining. Reading and discussing can change hands during the outing, so the device holder need not carry every decision alone. This helps the mission remain something the whole group shares as the route continues.
What alternative offers puzzle exploration?
Secrets of Hamburg provides a separate exploration from Rathausmarkt to Binnenalster with puzzles to solve. Choose it if your group prefers exploration tasks to an outdoor escape pursuit. It allows up to four players per team, while the Syndicate mission permits five and includes the church on its route.
Both games take 1.5 to 2 hours, use the free Loquiz app and cost €19.95 per team on one phone. Both offer flexible daily starts and twelve months of validity after purchase. Compare group size and activity style with your companions, then find a suitable day. Extra time at individual places belongs alongside the game duration when planning your shared outing.

Which option permits five players?

Is a church visit included?

How many phones are needed?
