I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What role does the museum have in your outing?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Stuttgart includes Mercedes-Benz Museum on its route. The museum is a real cultural destination at Mercedesstraße 100, separate from the fictional murder case that your group investigates. A walking route naming the place does not establish admission or an included interior tour. Plan a museum visit independently if you want one, and let the game provide the shared activity between sightseeing plans. You can appreciate arriving at the destination without inventing a connection between its history and the plot. For the case, make sure every player hears the instruction and can suggest a response before the group chooses its next move.

Which named places accompany the route?
Neues Schloss, Old Castle and Stuttgart Opera appear on the route before Mercedes-Benz Museum. These places give your detective outing a city setting as you follow the game on foot. Use its instructions for actual progress instead of creating a separate palace or theatre programme from the names alone. Any interior visit needs independent arrangements outside the activity. Between tasks, ask whether a different explanation changes what your group thinks about the case. Hearing another player's reasoning can keep everyone engaged, rather than letting one confident answer end the discussion immediately. The walking provides time for that exchange while the fictional investigation connects your decisions.
How do you share the game as a team?
The Stuttgart mystery costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. It uses the free Loquiz app, with at most 4 players sharing one phone. Read the tasks aloud so a couple, friends or colleagues can follow the same case without separate devices. Take turns proposing an answer and allow teammates to respond before entering it. One phone can serve the whole group when its information stays part of the conversation. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the game is valid for 12 months. Choose a suitable time for walking and reasoning, alongside any independent museum visit you arrange.
