I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

Which route frames your Stuttgart investigation?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Stuttgart takes you from the Jubiläumssäule on Schlossplatz to the Staatsgalerie at your own pace. You investigate on foot with the free Loquiz app, with Neues Schloss also among the places you see on the route. The real surroundings provide a setting while the fictional case gives colleagues a shared problem. Compare what different teammates make of the information before agreeing on an answer. Another interpretation may bring something new into the discussion, leaving room for everyone’s ideas. This keeps the activity shared throughout the walk, making the detective task something your small group actively approaches as you explore alongside one another.

How do colleagues play in several small teams?

Each team has at most 4 players and uses its own phone; all teams can start at the same time and compare their scores. Arrange who plays together before beginning, perhaps mixing colleagues from different parts of your work group. The case provides an immediate common subject. Keep the screen visible and hear more than one suggestion before the team responds. Comparing scores gives the wider group something to discuss afterwards, while sharing decisions within each team keeps the activity sociable. The phone holder can investigate alongside the others, so working out the mystery does not become a task only for the person using the screen during play.

What should you reserve for the outing?

Reserve 1.5 to 2 hours and budget €19.95 per team, with larger groups asking for a group quote on the website. You can play daily, start whenever you like and use your booking within 12 months. Prepare the free Loquiz app on each team’s phone and settle the groups before starting. Choose a beginning that lets colleagues gather, then give the walk enough time in your plans for exploring and discussing possible answers. Once everyone is ready, the case supplies a shared task. You can compare scores afterwards and talk about the different approaches your teams took while working through the mystery together during the outing.

Which app should colleagues prepare?

How many share each phone?

Can all teams begin together?

Yes. All teams can start at the same time and compare their scores.
