I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which dark stories does Venice tell?
Venice lived with the plague for centuries. The sick were taken to quarantine islands in the lagoon, and the word lazzaretto comes from here. After the outbreaks of 1576 and 1630 the city built the Redentore and Santa Maria della Salute as thanks for their end.
On the Piazzetta stand the two columns of San Marco and San Todaro. Public executions took place between them, and many Venetians still avoid walking between the columns. The Bridge of Sighs leads from the Doge's Palace to the prisons, and the grand Ca' Dario on the Grand Canal is said to bring bad luck to its owners.

What do you see on the halloween Venice route?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Venice sends your team on foot through the city to solve a crime, at your own pace. You see Piazza San Marco and later the Gallerie dell'Accademia, the Ca' d'Oro on the Grand Canal and, across the water, the Basilica di San Giorgio Maggiore.
When the autumn evening falls early, the narrow calli and quiet squares turn into exactly the setting a detective story needs. You play in the free Loquiz app on one phone, with at most 4 players per team, and the game takes 1.5 to 2 hours.
How is Halloween celebrated in Venice?
Venice is the city of masks, but its big costume party is Carnival in winter, not Halloween. The older autumn tradition is All Saints and All Souls, when families visit graves, including on the cemetery island of San Michele.
Halloween has grown in recent years, mostly as a night for children and young people in costume. A city game adds something to that: a dark walk with friends, family or colleagues, with a mystery to solve instead of a queue at a bar.
