I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What kind of walking game is available?

A self guided walking tour Venice suits you if you want a shared task alongside your walk. Couples, friends, families and colleagues can form a team of up to four players. Where does the Venice investigation take you?

The detective route runs from Chiesa di San Paolo over the Rialto bridge to Piazza San Marco. The supplied stops also name Gallerie dell’Accademia after Piazza San Marco, followed by Cà D’oro alla Vedova. These are places you encounter along the game route, with the phone providing the investigation you follow together.

Use the game information for the route itself and talk through the case as you go. You are playing outside on foot, with the city as your setting. The named sights give your walk a concrete backdrop without requiring you to follow a guided group’s schedule.

What does the team need to play?

The price is €19.95 per team: one phone, at most 4 players. Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Venice requires the free Loquiz app. You share the game on your own phone, so everyone can contribute to the discussion without each player needing a separate game screen.

Choose the people you want to investigate with and agree who will read out the clues. A self guided walking tour Venice works as a shared outing because the case gives your team decisions to discuss. The price applies to the team within the stated limit of four players, rather than an unrestricted group.

You can start the Venice game whenever you want, every day, and it remains valid for twelve months. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for playing. You control the pace as you follow the case, which makes it easier to choose a starting time that works for your own team.

Arrange your walk around the plans you already have, then follow the game information on your phone. There is no guide to meet at a fixed departure time. Keep your attention on the investigation and on each other’s ideas as you make your way through Venice together.
