I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What is there to appreciate at the loggia?
Loggia dei Lanzi is an open loggia on Piazza della Signoria in Florence. Its arches and sculpture setting give you something to look at while taking a break from the phone. You can compare the overall structure with the details that catch each companion's attention. This keeps the sightseeing part of the outing as social as the game itself. Your chosen story connects this landmark with other city places, so you can enjoy it as one stop within a wider walk. Decide together when you are ready to return to the activity and continue exploring.

Which Florence story would you rather follow?
Secrets of Florence passes the loggia during a mission to help Cosimo de’ Medici recover his lost baston of glory. Along its route you see Arnolfo's Tower, the loggia and the Statue of Dante Alighieri. Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Florence also passes the landmark, with a detective story from Piazza della Signoria past the Uffizi towards the cathedral. Choose the Medici mission for that fictional recovery objective, or choose the case if investigating a murder sounds more appealing to your group. Either creates a shared thread through the walk while Florence provides the real places around you.
How do you arrange a flexible team activity?
Both Florence games cost €19.95 per team, last 1.5 to 2 hours and allow at most 4 players sharing one phone. Couples can work through decisions together, while friends or colleagues can compare their ideas. You can start whenever you want, every day, with validity for 12 months. Leave separate time for any museum or other visits you plan around the walking game.
