I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where will colleagues follow the Ostend case?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Ostend takes you from Leopold Park past the Mercator to the Kursaal on the seafront. You investigate on foot with the free Loquiz app, using the surroundings as the setting for your fictional case. The walk gives colleagues time outside while the mystery offers a shared problem to consider. Hear how each teammate interprets the information before your group chooses an answer. Another explanation may bring a different possibility into the conversation. This keeps the activity open to everyone’s ideas, making the investigation something the small team actively shares as you explore alongside colleagues during the outing.

How can the work group share the detective task?

Each team has at most 4 players and uses its own phone; all teams can start at the same time and compare their scores. Decide who plays together before beginning, perhaps mixing colleagues who do not often work in the same small group. The case can become their first common topic immediately. Keep the screen visible and invite different suggestions before choosing a response together. Comparing scores gives the wider group a shared point of discussion afterwards, while the small teams leave room to listen during play. The phone holder can investigate alongside the others rather than being expected to provide every answer throughout the walk.

What should you reserve for the activity?

Reserve 1.5 to 2 hours and budget €19.95 per team, with larger groups asking for a group quote on the website. You can play daily, start whenever you like and use your booking within 12 months. Prepare the free Loquiz app on the team phones and settle the small groups before the investigation begins. Choose a starting moment that lets colleagues gather, then give the walk enough space in your outing plans. Once everyone is ready, the case supplies a common task with time to explore and discuss possible answers. You can compare scores afterwards and talk about the different approaches the teams took together.

What app should we prepare?

Prepare the free Loquiz app on the team phones.

How many share one phone?

At most 4 players use one phone per team.

Can all teams begin together?

Yes. All teams can start at the same time and compare their scores.

How should a larger work group take part?

Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. The game costs €19.95 per team.
