Team building Arnhem: walk and solve

City games in Arnhem (3) ↓

For team building Arnhem, give colleagues a common challenge to discuss during a city walk. Exploration puzzles, a detective mystery and an outdoor escape chase offer different ways to play together. Each small team follows its game on its own phone. All teams can start at the same time and compare scores, giving the outing a shared beginning while everyone contributes ideas to their group's decisions.

I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where can four colleagues explore or investigate?

Secrets of Arnhem follows a puzzle walk from Kerkplein past Eusebius Church and Sabelspoort. Colleagues guide themselves on a shared phone, contributing observations as they work through the exploration activity together. Choose it when seeing the city through tasks sounds like the right focus for your group.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Arnhem follows a case from Kerkplein and the Eusebius down to John Frostbrug. It gives colleagues a detective story to discuss while walking at their own pace. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Prepare a phone for each team and invite everyone to help with decisions rather than relying only on the screen holder.

What outdoor escape story fits five players?

The Arnhem Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Koningstraat, Eusebiuskerk and Broerenstraat. It allows at most five players sharing a phone with the free Loquiz app. Colleagues guide themselves through the streets and take the outdoor story at their team's pace.

This limit offers your organiser another way to divide colleagues into small groups. Everyone can suggest ideas while one person handles the screen, keeping the chase shared around the team phone. Choose it when an outdoor escape story fits the outing. Keep competition friendly and give different approaches room in the discussion while each group follows its activity with its own device.

How do we coordinate the team budget and start?

Each game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Count teams within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape option. Every team uses its own phone. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.

All teams can begin at the same time and compare scores. Choose the story first, assign colleagues within its limit and prepare the phones. You can start whenever you want, every day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Agree a shared beginning and allow time for the walk while teams follow the self-guided activity on their own devices.
