I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

These reviews were left by players on Google and other review sites and are copied from there as they are, with their source.

Where does the chapel fit into the exploration route?

Secrets of Den Bosch includes the chapel, St. John’s Cathedral, Jheronimus Bosch Art Center and the Markt among its stops. These places give the walk different settings while puzzles, photo tasks and stories provide the common activity. The chapel becomes part of that wider city outing rather than a separate visit included in the game.

Approach the place considerately and take a moment to look around before reading onward. No chapel admission or interior visit is specified for the activity. If you want an additional visit, plan it independently alongside the walk. Clear expectations help your companions understand the shared day and where extra visiting time belongs in your plans.

How can companions take different roles in the tasks?

Secrets of Den Bosch combines different activities so players can contribute in different ways. Someone may enjoy explaining a puzzle answer while another helps arrange a photograph. The self-guided walk gives your group something in common without needing everyone to prefer exactly the same part of the outing most.

Up to four players share one phone with the free Loquiz app. Let everyone hear each instruction before the team chooses an answer, and change who reads if that helps keep the group involved. A single device need not mean a single decision-maker. The discussion can belong to all companions as you continue exploring between the real route settings.

Which separate game offers a detective investigation?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Den Bosch runs from the Markt past De Moriaan to Het Noordbrabants Museum. Choose this separate walk for a continuing case, or the exploration activity for varied tasks and the route including the chapel. Both give your companions a common purpose while exploring the city on foot.

Each game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team of up to four players sharing one phone. Both use the free Loquiz app, offer flexible daily starts and remain valid for twelve months after purchase. Compare the formats with your group, then find a suitable day. Extra visiting time belongs alongside the game duration.

Is the chapel on the exploration route?

Yes, it is one of the listed stops.

Does the game include an interior visit?

No chapel admission or interior visit is specified.

Can two people share the activity?

Yes, a pair can form a team within the four-player limit.

When can we begin?

Both games offer flexible daily starts within twelve months of purchase.
