I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where does the church appear in the street mission?
The Leiden Syndicate (outdoor escape game) takes you past Vismarkt, the church, Hooglandse Kerkgracht and Dullenbrug. These places give your pursuit changing settings while your team follows Magnus and the stolen formulas. The church becomes one part of a wider city walk rather than the only destination for the outing.
At the stop, let the real place have attention separately from the fictional story. Be considerate of people visiting or using the church. No admission or interior visit is specified for the game. If you want an additional visit, plan it independently alongside the activity so your companions know what the shared day includes before you begin together.

How does the outdoor escape activity work for a group?
The Leiden Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows up to five people on one shared phone with the free Loquiz app. You play self-guided in the city streets, with a continuing pursuit giving the walk a common purpose. Choose it when your companions want a mission to follow and discuss between the real places they see.
Let everyone hear each task before the team settles on an answer. A player without the device may suggest another approach worth explaining. Reading and discussing can change hands during the walk, so the phone holder need not carry every decision alone. This helps the activity remain open to all companions throughout the outing.
What should your team arrange before playing?
Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the outdoor escape game and prepare the free Loquiz app on your shared phone. It costs €19.95 per team and offers a flexible start every day. The purchase stays valid for twelve months, so you can find a suitable date with your companions.
Discuss whether the activity will be the main outing or one part of a longer city visit. Extra time at individual places belongs alongside the game duration. With that plan clear, everyone can arrive ready for the same pursuit, giving the church and the other real settings attention between the decisions that carry your mission through the city.
Is the church on the outdoor escape route?
Yes, it follows Vismarkt among the listed stops.
Can five players share the mission?
Yes, up to five people use one phone per team.
Is an interior church visit included?
No admission or interior visit is specified.
Do we need a departure slot?
No, you choose a flexible daily start within twelve months of purchase.
