I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How we check reviews

These reviews were left by players on Google and other review sites and are copied from there as they are, with their source.

How does the street mission include this building?

The Tilburg Syndicate (outdoor escape game) leads from Stadhuisplein and the building towards Sint-Dionysiuskerk. Its route also includes Lieve Vrouweplein. These places give your pursuit different city settings while the mission follows Magnus and the stolen formulas. The building becomes part of a broader outing rather than the only destination for the day.

No admission or interior visit is specified for the activity. If you want an additional visit, plan its time independently alongside the game. At the stop itself, let the real setting have attention before reading onward. Clear expectations help companions understand what the shared outing includes and where any extra plans belong in the rest of your day.

How does the outdoor escape game work for your group?

The Tilburg Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows up to five players on one phone with the free Loquiz app. You play self-guided in the city streets, with a continuing pursuit providing something to discuss while exploring. Choose it when your companions want a common mission to connect the walk and their ideas between real places.

Let everyone hear each task before agreeing on an answer. A player without the device may suggest another approach worth explaining. Reading and discussing can change hands during the outing, so the phone holder need not manage every decision alone. This helps the activity remain shared by all companions throughout the walk as the route develops.

What should you arrange before setting out together?

Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the outdoor escape game and prepare the free Loquiz app on your shared phone. It costs €19.95 per team and offers a flexible start every day. Your purchase remains valid for twelve months, so you can find a suitable date with your companions.

Discuss whether the game will be the main outing or one part of a longer city visit. Extra time at individual places belongs alongside the game duration. With that common plan, everyone can arrive ready for the same activity, giving the building and the other real settings attention between the decisions that carry your mission through the city streets.
