I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where does the museum appear in the investigation?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Utrecht includes the museum, Dom Tower and Museum Speelklok among its route stops. The walk leads from Stadhuisplein along the Oudegracht towards the tower, giving your case a city setting. Your group has a common activity to carry between the places it sees.
No museum admission or exhibition visit is specified for the game. If you want a separate museum visit, plan its time independently of the walking activity. At the stop, give the real place a moment of attention before returning to the case. Clear expectations let companions with different interests understand the outing and any additional plans you want to share.

How does the team follow the detective case?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Utrecht is self-guided with the free Loquiz app on one phone. Up to four players form a team and compare their thoughts about the case. The device carries the game, while your group supplies the discussion and decisions that keep the activity shared.
Make sure everyone hears each task before settling on an answer. A player who is not holding the phone may see another possibility worth explaining. You can change who reads or leads the discussion during the walk. This helps all companions stay involved, rather than leaving one person to operate the case while the others simply follow the route through the city.
Which activity offers puzzles and photographs instead?
Secrets of Utrecht offers a separate exploration walk with puzzles, riddles and photo tasks in the historic centre. It passes Nicolaïkerk, St. Catharinakathedraal and Paushuize. Choose it for varied tasks, or select the detective activity for a continuing investigation and the route that includes the museum described here.
Both games take 1.5 to 2 hours and cost €19.95 per team of up to four players sharing one phone. Both use the free Loquiz app, offer flexible daily starts and remain valid for twelve months after purchase. Agree the activity style with your companions, then choose a suitable date. Extra visiting time belongs alongside the game duration.
