I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which exploration walk can four friends follow?

Secrets of Bruges takes a self-guided route from Markt past the belfry, the basilica and the old city hall. It allows at most four players sharing one phone with the free Loquiz app. Your friends can offer observations and ideas while following the game together at their own pace.

Choose this exploration option when seeing the city through a shared activity sounds right for the group. One person handles the screen, but everyone can help decide what to do next. Arrange several teams if more friends are joining, with a phone for each small group. That gives the celebration a common walking activity to open the day, while each team follows the game and discusses its decisions itself.

Where can our group investigate a detective story?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Bruges follows a case from Markt and Belfort to Burg and Rozenhoedkaai. It uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone and allows at most four players per team. Your friends can discuss the mystery while guiding themselves through the walk at their own pace.

Pick this option if your bachelor or bachelorette group enjoys working through a case together. Decide which friends will share a phone and invite everyone to contribute ideas, rather than relying only on the screen holder. Keep competition between teams relaxed. The detective story gives the party a shared focus at the beginning of the day, with no guide setting your pace or making the next decisions for the group.

What should we budget and when can we begin?

A game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Each team contains at most four players using one phone. Work out how many teams your guest list needs before calculating the activity budget; a larger party requires several bookings and devices within that limit.

You may start whenever you want on any day, and your booking is valid for 12 months. Choose your preferred story, assign friends to teams and prepare the phones with the app. Agree a start together and allow enough time for the walk within your celebration plans. These activities are self-guided, so your group organises its own beginning and follows the game without a guide leading the teams through the city.

Can a bachelorette group take part?

Yes. Bachelor and bachelorette groups can choose these games and play in small teams.

What app do our phones need?

Both games use the free Loquiz app on your own team phone.

How many people share one device?

Both choices allow at most four players per team using one phone.

How long is the booking valid?

Your booking is valid for 12 months. You can start whenever you want, every day.
