I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What can we explore together around the city?

Secrets of Amersfoort combines puzzles and photo tasks with stories about Lange Jan, Koppelpoort and the Muurhuizen. It is a self-guided walking game for at most four players on one team phone, using the free Loquiz app. Choose it when your friends want varied exploration tasks as part of the outing. The group can share observations and discuss its approach as it walks. Give everyone a chance to contribute, making the activity a shared beginning to the celebration rather than one person's puzzle session.

Which route gives friends a detective case?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Amersfoort follows a case from the Hof to the Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren. Teams contain at most four players, using one phone with the free Loquiz app. You set your own pace while working through the detective story on foot. For a bachelor or bachelorette group, decide whether investigating together is the style you want for the day. If more friends are attending, arrange several teams and a phone for each, with room for everyone's ideas during the game.

Where can a five-person team chase stolen formulas?

The Amersfoort Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Hof, Sint-Joriskerk and Kamperbinnenpoort. It allows at most five players per team, sharing a phone in the free Loquiz app. You guide yourselves through the streets as the outdoor story gives your friends a common challenge. Use this team limit when deciding how to divide the guest list. Keep the competition friendly and invite every player to suggest ideas while the team works through the activity together.

How do we arrange a start and a team budget?

A game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team. Count teams within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game, and prepare one phone for every team. You can begin on any day whenever you want, with a booking valid for 12 months. Select the story before assigning friends so the groups fit. Then agree a start together and reserve enough time for the walk within your day's plans for the stag or hen celebration.

Can we choose this for a bachelorette group?

Yes. These games suit bachelor or bachelorette groups in small teams with friendly competition.

Which choice includes photo tasks?

What do we prepare on each phone?

All three games use the free Loquiz app on your own team phone.
