I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What will your Arkel team investigate?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Arkel asks you to question witnesses, collect clues on the streets and solve the murder before the trail goes cold. You play using the free Loquiz app on your own phone, keeping the case with your team as you explore. The investigation gives friends a common task to discuss from the beginning. Ask what each teammate makes of the information before deciding on a response. Another explanation can bring a new possibility into the conversation. The activity gives everyone a way to contribute, combining time together outside with something your small group can actively work through during the celebration.

How can the whole party follow the case?
Each team uses one phone and has at most 4 players. If your bachelor or bachelorette party includes more friends, form several teams before the activity begins. Mixing guests who have just met gives them a practical first topic, while familiar friends can enjoy approaching the mystery together. Keep the screen visible and invite different suggestions before settling on your answer. The competition can remain friendly while each small group investigates in its own way. Sharing the decisions also means the phone holder can take part alongside everyone else, rather than doing all the detective thinking for the team throughout the game.
What are the practical details for your plans?
The game takes 1.5 to 2 hours and costs €19.95 per team. You can play daily, start whenever you like and use your booking within 12 months. These details give the organiser flexibility when arranging how to gather the friends and open the stag or hen day. Prepare the free Loquiz app on each team’s phone and settle who will play together before beginning. Give the activity a dedicated space in the plans so you can consider the case without rushing the discussion. Once everyone is ready, you have a shared first task to follow together as the celebrations get under way.
