I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What will your Arkel detective teams investigate?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Arkel asks you to question witnesses, collect clues on the streets and solve the murder before the trail goes cold. You follow the game using the free Loquiz app on your own phone. The investigation offers a concrete problem for colleagues as they explore together. Compare what different teammates make of the information before agreeing on your response. Another explanation may add something new to consider, leaving room for everyone’s ideas. This makes the activity something your small group actively shares as you investigate alongside one another rather than leaving every answer to whoever holds the phone throughout play.

How can several teams share the detective activity?
Each team uses its own phone and has at most 4 players; all teams can start at the same time and compare their scores. Arrange who plays together beforehand, perhaps mixing colleagues who rarely work in the same small circle. The case offers an immediate common subject. Keep the screen visible and hear more than one suggestion before choosing your answer together. Comparing scores gives the wider group something to discuss afterwards, while sharing decisions within each team leaves room for every colleague during play. The phone holder can investigate alongside the others, making the thinking part of the whole small group’s activity throughout the outing.
What details help you plan the work outing?
Allow 1.5 to 2 hours at €19.95 per team, with larger groups asking for a group quote on the website. You can play daily, start whenever you like and use the booking within 12 months. Prepare the free Loquiz app on the team phones and settle the groups before beginning. Choose a start that lets colleagues gather, then give the activity enough time in your plans for exploring and discussing possible answers. Once everyone is ready, the investigation supplies a shared task. Compare scores afterwards and return to the different ideas your teams considered while working through the mystery together during the outing.
