I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What does the exploration tour involve?
Secrets of Brielle is a self-guided walking tour with puzzles and photo tasks through the old town’s streets, squares and ramparts. The game uses the free Loquiz app, with at most four people sharing one phone. Choose this walk if your friends like an activity that combines exploring with a variety of tasks. You can read the prompts together, discuss the next answer and take turns leading the conversation. Photo tasks offer another way for teammates to participate alongside the puzzles. For a bachelor or bachelorette group, that gives the opening of the day a shared purpose without making one friend responsible for entertaining everyone else throughout the walk.

Where does the detective trail begin?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Brielle starts at the Arsenaal and follows a trail out to the ramparts. The walking case also takes in Sint-Catharijnekerk and Historisch Museum Den Briel. Your team plays through the free Loquiz app, using one phone for at most four players. Pick this option when a detective story sounds more appealing to your friends than the exploratory tour. Let different people read and contribute their interpretation before agreeing on the next step. The small team keeps the discussion manageable, while the case gives everyone a common aim. Friendly rivalry can add energy to the celebration without turning the outing into a test that only one confident player controls.
What should you arrange before the party?
Both Brielle games take 1.5 to 2 hours and cost €19.95 per team. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the booking remains valid for 12 months. Divide a larger gathering into teams of at most four, arrange a phone for each and prepare the free Loquiz app. Agree which game you will play so friends arrive knowing the theme. Leave enough room in the celebration schedule for the full walking activity rather than rushing between other plans. With the practical decisions made, the group can focus on sharing ideas and enjoying its first challenge together before continuing with the rest of the day you have organised.
