I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where can explorers or detectives begin?

Secrets of Roermond starts at Munsterkerk with puzzles and photo tasks through the town. The route also takes you past De Cattentoren and Meisje met Meeuwen. Your friends follow the self-guided exploration game on a shared phone, bringing their observations and ideas to the activity as they walk together.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Roermond follows a case from Munsterplein to the cathedral and Rattentoren. Pick it if discussing a mystery sounds like the right focus for your group. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Decide on the story before assigning friends and arrange a phone for every team joining.

What is the five-player outdoor escape choice?

The Roermond Syndicate (outdoor escape game) sends your team after Magnus and the stolen formulas past Sint-Christoffelkathedraal, Straatkapel Luifelstraat and Markt. It allows at most five players using one phone with the free Loquiz app. You guide yourselves through the streets and follow the outdoor story at your own pace.

For a bachelor or bachelorette party, consider this different player limit when dividing the guest list into small teams. Let everyone offer ideas while one person handles the screen. A friendly chase gives your celebration a common challenge to start with. Each team needs its own phone, so settle those arrangements before the group gathers to begin the walking activity together.

How do we arrange price, timing and the start?

A Roermond game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Budget for the number of teams you need within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game. Each team uses one phone, so a larger guest list needs several bookings and devices.

You can begin whenever you want, every day, and the booking stays valid for 12 months. Select your story first, then organise friends into teams that fit its size. Prepare the phones, agree a start and leave enough room for the walk within your day's plans. The self-guided format lets your group organise its own beginning and follow the activity together.

Can a hen party choose these activities?

Yes. A hen or bachelorette group can play the games in small teams with friendly competition.

Which game starts at Munsterkerk?

Secrets of Roermond starts at Munsterkerk and includes puzzles and photo tasks through the town.

What phone setup is required?

All three games use the free Loquiz app on your own team phone.

Do five people fit the detective option?

The detective game allows at most four players per team. The Roermond Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows five.
